32 bit class files vs. 64 bit class files

Please forgive my apparent ignorance, but is there any difference between .class file created with a 32-bit Java compiler and .class files created with a 64-bit java compiler? Can I compile with 32-bit Java and run on both 32-bit and 64-bit?
