2007 DST patch for Standby server

564276Feb 27 2007 — edited Feb 28 2007
Hi all,
I could not find any information regarding time zone patching for a standby server. Since a standby gets data from primary, so all i could understand is that there is no need of any work towards the data side i.e., running cre_tz_views.sql, utltzuv2.sql because we have already set it right on the primary side. But when the software is concerned, i believe we have to update the time zone files anyway. So, my understanding is that we can start directly applying the time zone v3 patch with out preliminary data checks. Im running Oracle 9.2.0.5 and it has a manual approach, so will copying the 2 .dat files to $ORACLE_HOME/oracore/zoneinfo and restart the standby database and open it in managed recovery mode do the work? did i get this correct or is there any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Harris.
