2 phase commit (2PC) followed by lintener errors

Has anyone seen this before? The first error recorded had to do with a potential "in doubt" transaction. This was followed by an EOF on communications channel ... followed by ORA-12514 listener errors.

The server was heavily loaded at the time. Did we run out of resources?
