11gR1 to 11gR2 upgrade

Hi,

We have a database 11gR1 to be upgraded to 11gR2.

My understanding of these two versions is that they are 2 minor releases of the same major release.

So far we have been upgrading to a new minor release by applying the patchset e.g. (10.1 ---> 10.2 etc.). However when we upgrade to a major release e.g. (9i ---> 10g), we need to install a new Oracle Home and use the DBUA.

Now, to upgrade from 11gR1 to 11gR2, do we need to apply the 11gR2 patchset(if there is any) or we need to install a separate 11gR2 Oracle Home and use DBUA to upgrade the existing 11gR1 database.

Please clarify.
