I just made another standby database, previous one worked fine, but now using exactly same procedure a 'show configuration' shows "ORA-16778: redo transport error for one or more databases" on primary DB, then doing a 'show database verbose' on the primary shows "ORA-16737: the redo transport service for standby database "abcdefg_crsbdtt1" has an error", and following ORA-16778 documentation, showing LogXptStatus property I end up with:
DGMGRL> show database abcdefg_crsfedta 'LogXptStatus'
LOG TRANSPORT STATUS
PRIMARY_INSTANCE_NAME STANDBY_DATABASE_NAME STATUS
ABCDEFG1 abcdefg_crsbdtt1
ABCDEFG2 abcdefg_crsbdtt1 ORA-01033: ORACLE initialization or shutdown in progress
I have *no idea* why Oracle tells me my 2nd instance on standby DB is on 1033 error.
As I said I created another standby this morning, same source/target servers, same DB version, and this one fails with this puzzling message...
I couldn't find anything wrong with crsbdtt1 standby DB instances: anybody has a clue about what it might be about ?!?
