11g scheduler agent issue with 12c database

Hi,

We are trying to register a remote scheduler agent(11.2.0.3.1) with Oracle database 12(12.0.1.0.2).

While registering the  remote agent with 12c database, we are getting the following error.

Agent Registration Password ? ********

Oracle Scheduler Agent Registration for 12.1 Agent

Agent Registration Failed!

Error: ORA-09911: Incorrect user password.

Please advise whether 11g scheduler agent is compatible with 12c database? If not is there a way to upgrade the scheduler agent to 12.1  version.
