I have a two node RAC linux cluster on 11.2.0.4. I'm attempting to upgrade to 12.2.0.1. gridSetup.sh Node Selection screen reports the following error right after SSH check.
[INS-40995] Installer has detected that the Oracle base (/u01/oracle/product) is not empty in the following nodes: [node2]
These nodes will be ignored and not participate in the configured Grid Infrastructure.
Action - Ensure the Oracle base is empty in the remote nodes.
I'm unable to find any documentation or information about this error. The error does not make sense to me because this is an upgrade, so obviously Oracle Base is not empty, nor should it be. Has anyone seen this before or suggest how to proceed?
