10G Install on Red Hat 9 - Source for package updates

The 10g Linux installation instructions specify newer releases for some packages (e.g. gcc) than supplied with Red Hat 9. I checked Red Hat's ftp site but these packages are at the same level as found on the original CDs. Can someone recommend a site to obtain newer Linux RPM files? Thanks
