10G Client windows installation

Windows : XP Service Pack 3
Oracle : 10G 10.2.0.1.0

Remote Server : X / 192.168.0.12
Remote Database Name : ORCL

Sir,

On above settings and configuration I am trying to install Oracle 10G client on an another PC. On prompt for Service name I have given ORCL and on Host Name I have given X. But on the test for connection .. it never succeeds even I have changed the credentials from system to scott and I have checked the user name and password on server.

Kindly guide me how to solve the problem. If I have done something wrong pl. make me correct.
