Oracle date format - Month value in a single digit

Hi

I want to display Month in single digit without zero.

Eg: 1/28 instead of 01/28 for January 28th.

I am trying TO_CHAR('MM/DD').

Is it possible to avoid the Zero to show month value in a single digit?
