BI Apps and Active Directory authentication

I have setup BI Apps and OBIEE and everything was working.

I then created an ADSI Ldap server and am trying to setup my environment to authenticate users against AD. However, it is not working.

Is this possible? Or if I want to use AD am I going to have to setup AD to OID sync and then setup SSO between EBS and OID?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
