Hi,
I am experiencing very long time responses from the My Oracle Support Site; the classic Metalink is going to retire on November 6th and the green stripe in the welcome page of My Oracle Support requires 5 to 10 minutes to load.

Thanks

The MOS site uses Adobe Flash and requires a fast processor and good amounts of memory for it to be reasonably usable. Using MOS on older computers will most likely cause the slowness you are experiencing

Hi,
I know about requirements and the problem is not there, in this case.
I am using a quite powerful PC and an high speed connection.

Thanks

I am using MOS on my 2.16 Ghz processor with 1 GB RAM, and the performance is fine. I have seen MOS on 512 MB RAM machines running fine.

I dunno who is the genius architect who choose this technology but i'm really pissed off by this new version: slowliness, loss of useful features. It's even no more possible to go back to the previous page !
And i even dont talk about the fact that i loose all my favorites than the bookmarks are just unusable .....

Using flash is definitively not for professional applications ! I'm using metalink at least 3h per day and this new interface **** me off already .... Moreover we are stuck for all our open SR as they are not complete anymore !

I suggest to oracle to fire the architect who choose flash and also the guy who handle the migration .....

Ssshhh don't talk like that the police will be along soon to close the thread because "Support don't' monitor the forums"

notwithstanding a ton of responses from them re MOS in the other threads here

You could of course use the HTML version of MOS: https://supporthtml.oracle.com

just tried it and it's broken. Imagine if you will if Oracle had an old support site that worked really well and didn't try and fix what wasn't broken.

Hm. Just tried it again, and it works...I must admit, that I didn't play around; the search seems to work (of course you'll have to adjust your search settings), and I can also see the Headlines of my previous (Hard Closed) SR's as announced...I didn't have any open SR's...

Well I don't have to imagine; I just have to remember the good old days :P

Looks like Oracle is executing a Denial of Service attack on their users as both MOS and HTML MOS are down now.

I suggest sending feedback directly via the feedback links if/when their support sites ever start working again. I plan on complaining multiple times a day.

Maybe it is time to move into a management role...

Heh; I've only just worked out that to get rid of the nice blank screen that I'm presented with when I go to http://support.oracle.com/ I have to click on the address bar (in IE v6) and then press enter. Refresh (F5 or Ctrl-F5) doesn't work.

*sigh*

When I get into supporthtml.oracle.com, I get the following message:
